There's quite a debate in the design community as to when, exactly, a rug enters the decor equation. Do you source the rug first, and use it as the inspiration for your color palette and textural approach, or do you add it at the end, as a final, finishing note that seals the thematic deal?
We generally approach our rugs as part of our initial design pass: an opportunity to establish our statement in a majorly visible way, one that serves both the functional and aesthetic aspects of a thoughtfully-designed space.
