We're going to keep this a bit short today--we here in the LA office are busy packing up the caravans, hoping to hit up some must-visit desert destinations before the impending Coachella apocalypse hits. We're particularly eager to get on out to Desert X, the series of site-specific art installations out in the Coachella Valley that everyone's been 'gramming about. We're also building in a detour to see the Super Bloom, which despite being nearly trampled to death, is apparently still a stunning sight to behold.
In other, larger, not-LA news, we've been absolutely pouring over the work on display at Milano Design Week. Sight Unseen has been our go-to guide to all the gorgeousness we're missing, highlighting the best of the best with daily "what to see" roundups. Even just a simple scroll through their IG will have casually checking your bank balance and the "last minute getaway" options on orbitz.com.
Have you been bingeing S Town, the new podcast from the gangs at Serial and This American Life? We only have one more episode to go, and it is...bleak. But it's also completely engrossing, and darkly humorous, and incredibly, compellingly human. Do it.
In other media news, the seaside Monterey house from Big Little Lies is on the market, and it's actually somewhat affordable?
Also, in case you missed it, our very own Mat & Brandon were interviewed by Domino Mag, and they discussed all things #ConsortNY, the consequences of drunk-buying taxidermy, and what exciting developments are on the horizon for us here at Consort. Stay tuned.
